2011: Earned record seventh victory at Daytona after leading 61 laps. Finished third at Talladega.



2010: Finished 23rd in series driver points driving a partial schedule in Chevrolets fielded by his own team, Bobby Gerhart Racing...Won in the season opener at Daytona after leading 51 laps...Win was his record sixth at the historic 2.5-mile superspeedway oval...Achieved two additional top-10s, at Pocono in June and Chicagoland in August.

2009: Finished 30th in series driver points driving a partial schedule in Chevrolets fielded by his own team, Bobby Gerhart Racing...Finished ninth at Pocono in August, his best result in seven starts.



2008: Finished 22nd in series driver points driving a partial schedule in Chevrolets fielded by his own team, Bobby Gerhart Racing...Led four laps at Daytona...Achieved three top-fives and three top-10s...Finished a season-best third at Talladega.



NOTABLE: Renowned for his restrictor plate savvy, Gerhart has won a record Eight times at Daytona (1999, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010,2011,2012). He also has one win at Talladega, in 2001. His career-best driver point finishes are second (2006), third (1999), fifth (1991, 2000), eighth (1988), and 10th (1990, 1997). Gerhart won the pole at Daytona in four consecutive seasons (2003-2006), and has also earned poles at Talladega (2006), Michigan (1998), and Winchester (2000). Gerhart has led 716 laps in 30 races.  

 

The 1988 ARCA Racing Series Rookie of the Year, Gerhart's best superspeedway finishes outside of his wins are second at Daytona (2000), third at Talladega (1997, 2005, 2008), third at Pocono (2004), fourth at Daytona (2008), fourth at Pocono (2002, 2008), fourth at Kansas (2005), fourth at Michigan (1998), fourth at Texas Motor Speedway (1998), fourth at Texas World Speedway (1991), fifth at Pocono (1996, 1997, 2002, 2004, 2006), fifth at Kentucky (2000), fifth at Talladega (2000), fifth at Charlotte (1999), and fifth at Michigan (1999). His best short-track finishes are second at Anderson (2000), second at Flemington (1999), third at Salem (2006), third at Hagerstown (1989), third at Flat Rock (1991), fourth at Winchester (2000, 2007), fourth at Toledo (2000, 2004), fourth at South Boston (2002), fifth at Toledo (2007), fifth at Winchester (2006), fifth at Lake Erie (2005), fifth at Milwaukee (2005), and fifth at Kil-Kare (2000).



Gerhart last ran a full ARCA Racing Series season in 2006, finishing second to Frank Kimmel after winning one race and achieving four top-fives and 13 top-10 finishes. He is the son of Eastern Modified champion Bobby Gerhart Sr. His brother, Bill Gerhart, serves as his ARCA crew chief. He was crowned the track champion at Linda's Speedway and Susquehanna Speedway in Pennsylvania, and is the 1983 Pennsylvania Tri-Track Modified Series champion. Gerhart is a veteran of the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series. His best Sprint Cup finish in 28 Cup starts was 17th at North Wilkesboro (1985), and he last appeared in the Sprint Cup Series in 1992.
