PENNSYLVANIA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HONORS BOBBY GERHART


LEBANON:
On February 12, 2005, Bobby became only the second driver in the history of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) racing series to win the Advance Discount Auto Parts 200 at Daytona International Speedway for a third time. The other driver to do this was Iggy Katona in the 1940's. Also this past February at Daytona, Bobby tied another record held by former Winston Cup Champion Benny Parsons by winning the preeminent pole position for a third consecutive year.

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives on June 7 th , 2005, will be honoring Bobby for his unique accomplishment at Daytona this past February. Along with this recognition the NASCAR/Stockcar Caucus within the PA House of Representatives will be hosting a reception in honor of his accomplishment. As part of his accomplishment, the unique partnership between BGR and Hendrick Motorsports will be addressed during reading of the resolution honoring Bobby.

Invited guests are Rick Hendrick, CEO of Hendrick Motorsports; Ron Drager, President of ARCA; executives from ReMax; Dr. Joseph Mattioli, CEO & Chairman of the Board for Pocono Raceway; Joe Lewandowski, General Manager for Lake Erie Speedway and members from Bobby Gerhart Racing.
