NEW MARKETING PARTNET FOR GERHART AT SALEM; PAontheweb ON BOARD |
A web site that allows someone to locate Pennsylvania-based companies, PAontheweb.com, will be co-primary sponsor of the BGR #5 Pontiac this weekend. "We are very excited to be adding another quality organization to the BGR family," said Bobby Gerhart. "PAontheweb.com is an excellent resource for finding a variety of services. I've used it on many occasions." "Partnering with BGR seemed like a natural fit," said Mike Kelly, owner of paontheweb.com. "We're looking forward to this weekend and believe there is the potential for this to be a mutually beneficial partnership in the future as well. It's great anytime two Pennsylvania-based organizations can help each other succeed." Gerhart, who won the season-opening ARCA 200 at Daytona, finished third in last year's spring race at Salem behind race winner Billy Venturini and NASCAR veteran Ken Schrader. Gerhart is currently third in national championship points behind 8-time ARCA RE/MAX Series champion Frank Kimmel and Springfield, Illinois driver Justin Allgaier. This weekend also features one of BGR's oldest friends and partners, AT Construction, occupying the hood of the BGR Pontiac. AT Construction, a general contractor based in Drexel Hill, PA has been a longtime supporter of Bobby Gerhart Racing. Another change for this weekend will be BGR's switch from their usual Chevrolet Monte Carlo body to a Pontiac Grand Prix. "The car we're running this week is actually a brand new piece. We've had it sitting in the shop, and since this is the last year we can run the Pontiac body we figured now is as good a time as any to run it. We're confident it will perform well," added Gerhart. Practice for the Kentuckiana Ford Dealer 200 at Salem is Saturday afternoon from 12:30-2:00 pm ET. Pole Award Qualifying follows at 3:30. The Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 presented by Federated Auto Parts is scheduled to roll off Sunday afternoon, April 22 at 2:15 pm Eastern time. Contact: James Algeo 610-392-0782 |
