DAYTONA BEACH FL (2-8-07) - Four-time ARCA RE/MAX Series Daytona winner
Bobby Gerhart's got his usual superspeedway game-face on. He also, in
the final moments of Thursday's five-hour practice session at Daytona
Int'l Speedway, shot to the top of the charts with a quick speed of 181.870
mph.
Unsatisfied, the Lebanon, Pennsylvania veteran would offer no comment
after climbing from his #5 Lucas Oil Chevy Monte Carlo. Gerhart, who
already owns a record four Daytona victories, will be chasing his fifth
and what would be a third consecutive triumph. Gerhart is also looking
for a record fifth consecutive Daytona pole in Pole Award qualifying
set to roll off at 12 noon Friday.
