GERHART TEAMS WITH UDS

LANCASTER PA (1-25-06) – Bobby Gerhart Racing and United Disabilities Services (UDS) have announced the continuation of a unique partnership created three years ago.

The BGR/UDS alliance, now starting its fourth consecutive season, was established to help serve people with disabilities by raising awareness.

UDS logos will accompany Gerhart’s title sponsor – Lucas Oil on his fleet of Chevy Monte Carlos for the 2006 season beginning with the 43rd annual Daytona ARCA 200 Saturday afternoon, February 11th. During the event, race fans and businesses will again be able to make a contribution to UDS at the start of the race at Daytona International Speedway.

Recently, the #5 Lucas Oil-UDS Chevrolet was on display at the Motorsports 2006 EXPO in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. It was there on January 13th that Bobby Gerhart, driver of the #5 Monte Carlo, Billy Gerhart, crew chief of the Bobby Gerhart Racing team, and Gerald Meck, CEO of United Disabilities Services, made the announcement of the continuation of the fundraising collaboration.

The Gerhart’s are renowned for their success in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, specifically at Daytona where the Lebanon, Pennsylvania duo has three victories in 1999, 2002 and 2005. Gerhart is set to take aim at a record fourth Daytona victory.

Having already tested three times for the event, Gerhart led the way on the speed charts each time. Gerhart is confident that 2006 will be a successful racing year and looks forward to assisting United Disabilities Services with a number of special promotions to raise money for the Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based organization.
